Dr. Foo is a Consultant Eye Surgeon specializing in Cataract and Refractive surgery, Childhood Myopia Management, and Comprehensive Ophthalmology, encompassing the treatment of conditions such as dry eye disease, refractive errors (myopia, presbyopia, astigmatism), glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, floaters, and retinal tears.

She completed her medical education at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and pursued further training through the ACGME-I accredited SingHealth Ophthalmology Residency Program. Dr. Foo earned her Fellowship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology during her residency. Subsequently, she underwent specialized training in Childhood Myopia and Refractive surgeries through the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) Advanced Clinical Subspecialty Programme, becoming the first ophthalmologist to complete this advanced Myopia fellowship.

Dr. Foo's expertise in Myopia has positioned her as a global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in the field, recognized among the top 10 rising stars by The Ophthalmologist Power List 2023. She was appointed as the Myopia Program Lead for the SNEC Fellowship Coordination Committee. As an invited speaker and panelist, she has delivered lectures worldwide on various topics, including myopia management and artificial intelligence in ophthalmology, solidifying her reputation as an authority in the field. Her standing has led to numerous requests for professional consulting services from leading industry figures.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Foo served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Duke-NUS EYE Academic Clinical Programme. She has been awarded prestigious grants, including the Khoo Scholar Award, Nurturing Clinician Researcher Award, and Educational Award from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, for educational program development and clinician research. Additionally, she participated in esteemed programs such as the Eureka-Singapore Monsoon School on Translational Medicine and the MIT-Harvard Medical School Healthcare Innovation Bootcamp, where she secured the runner-up position in the Elevator Pitch segment.
